To Tell The Story Of A Dream For The Best!
Free Wheel Coffee was started to provide high quality coffee to those who crave only the best. This is the kind of coffee which takes time to grow, harvest, roast, and deliver. We will never compete with the grocery store chains or local corporate coffee shops such as Starbucks. Free Wheel Coffee is grown on a private estate outside of Lima Peru and maximum production is limited to 500 bags a week.
Free Wheel Coffee was started by three friends, two of which were roommates from college. The third was a local Peruvian farmer from Cuzco who had lost his job and was looking for a chance to survive. In a country with 39% unemployment, the three banded together and maxed out their savings and credit cards to start Free Wheel Coffee. Fast forward three years and things have started to look up. With the modest gains, USDA Organic Certification, and supply chain excellence, we are now able to bring some of the highest quality coffee to you. Our coffees are of the highest quality and we aspire to keep it that way without compromise. At the outset, we promised to stick to a few ideals. These are as follows.
1. Quality is king. No compromise.
2. 500 pounds of coffee is our weekly limit for the Peru Organic. We cannot do more than that and plan to keep it that way for the long haul. When you get a bag of Peru Organic, you get the mutual acknowledgement that it came from a specific piece of old growth land in Cuzco Peru with limited growth capabilities. It is therefore limited in size and quantity since it is 99.8% organic and takes time to grow.
3. Our customers are our greatest asset. We rely on your loyalty to purchase Free Wheel Coffee. With keeping things small, we want you to feel connected to the story and passion of Free Wheel Coffee.
4. We are environmentally conscience and are working to make that more and more real as time progresses. From offsetting fuel costs with carbon credit trading to our coffee by bike delivery program, we aspire to make this world a little better for the next generation of folks to come.
5. Â Giving back. Free Wheel Coffee was started to help a friend feed his family. We plan to grow beyond this in the coming years and help more folks through programs to help the cycling scene while encouraging environmental stewardship.
